While on the subject of being afraid; did you hear the one about the piece of rope that went into the bar and asked for a beer?
The bartender said, “We don’t serve rope, you’ll have to leave.”
The rope continued to ask for a beer whereupon the bartender got angry to the point of grabbing the rope and tying him in knots and throwing him out the door and into the street where the rope was run over several times by passing vehicles.
A few minutes later there he was again requesting a beer and the bartender responded, “Didn’t you hear me, we don’t serve rope!”
I am prone to fear and worry and guilt. God has helped me through all these years. At times, God has helped me to do things that I would not have been up to doing as readily without his comfort. God has given me strength and allows me to have positive goals.
Barb, I don't know where we'd be without the Lord's comfort and help. There are so many things in this world, and it varies from person to person, that can make us afraid or worried or guilty, but the Lord sees us through and makes it possible to continue.
