Faith

NOW faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

And now, I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith. Ether 12:6

And when they shall have received this, which is expedient that they should have first, to try their faith, and if it shall so be that they shall believe these things then shall the greater things be made manifest unto them. 3 Nephi 26:9

And now as I said concerning faith—faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true. Alma 32:21

That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2:5

For what it is worth, I'm in a staff counsel office, and my reach often exceeds my grasp as well.

(referring to I am a property casualty commercial lines insurance underwriter with a B.A. in English.).

I live in the Dallas metroplex with my wife and children.

This is SO timely for my struggle last night! I managed to claw my way up out of the bipolar darkness last night in a way I've never been able to before, and afterwards, the witness was so sweet to my soul. The blessings the Lord gives are so marvelous, even when they may seem simple to others. What the Lord prompted someone else to do, that helped cap off my emotional victory last night, after the struggle and work and effort I put in, was such sweet nectar to my soul, and I felt so strongly it was due to my faith and persistence in struggling, and my exercise of faith even in the pit of doom, as it were.

Anyway, thanks for posting this, it is very timely for me.

All of the scriptures could be applied to the evolution thread. The importance of having faith can't be under estimated. These scriptures have as many meanings as the number of people reading them. Our own circumstances dictate what we see.
